6 frequently asked questions on the Seagull IV water purifier

1. Do I have to do the installation myself or your will send a technician to do it?

For the counter top unit, I can do the 5 minute installation for free.
For the under counter unit, you will need to get a plumber to install for you, as walls need to be broken to tap the water supply main and sink need to be drilled to install the faucet on the sink top.

2 Sometime the water pressure at my home is low. Will it have any effect on the water flow when using Seagull?

Seagull IV purifier works well with 25psi pressure, but even with pressure of 15psi, you can still get water - about 4 litres in 2 minutes. Usual water presure in the Klang Valley is between 30 to 50psi

3. Can I pay by installments?

I do not offer any installment plan, but if you prepay me using your EON bank EPP, they offer 12 months @3%, 24 months @ 5% and 36 months at 7%. Public bank EPP offer 6 months 2 @ 2% and 12 months at 3%.

For payments by Visa/Master/Amex, I bill at S$1,362 / S$1399 for the counter top/ under sink models.

For convenience I do accept interbank transfers with MBB, CIMB & PBB.

4. Do I have to do maintenance to Seagull, like replace the filter yearly?

The washable Pre-filter is enclosed in a see through plastic housing, so you can wash whenever you see the filter is dirty - usually once a month, 5 minutes job. Replacement Pre-filter costs RM137 and usually changed every 2 years.

Cartridge rated at 4400 litres at a flow rate of 4.4 litres a minute. So for a family of 5, cooking 2 meals daily, the cartridge should usually last 2-5 years. You only change when no water comes out, or when the flow rate is too slow.. Replacement Cartridge is a screw-on 3-minute job and costs RM477.

With no other moving parts or motors, there is no other maintenance required for the Seagull IV water purifier, unlike other water systems.

5. Can the Seagull IV purified water output split in to two lines, one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom?

Yes it is possible to split the lines into 2 - for the faucet model. Your plumber can install a splitter and a separate faucet in the toilet for you.

6. What's the main difference between a water filter and water purifier?

A water filter can only reduce contaminants in the water for a short period of time, usually 6 months before you have to change the set of filters. Pick up the company A water filter from USA and it says this filter can reduce (not remove) the whole list of contaminants.

A water purifier is usually certified by the EPA - Environmental Protection Agency in USA. The Seagull IV is a EPA certified Micro Biological Purifier, able to REMOVE 99.99999% of all contaminants in the water - up till the last drop. Meaning you only change the cartridge when no more water comes out and not at a fixed time interval.

This ensures that only a purifier like the Seagull IV can guarantee that the water that flows out, is safe to drink.

Seagull IV is the best investment for your money, giving you safe purified healthy water for you and your whole family to enjoy for many years to come. Isn't it time to get a few units for your home and office?
